My thoughts are truly disorientated now... having not slept enough because I woke up at 3 am this morning when the rain started to pour so heavily.

In my friend's, MC, words, "I (he) didn't dare open the curtains. I thought it was the end of the world like in the War of the Worlds, and I expected to see alien machines outside my room."
